Cant hook up

Hey i have a 96 mustang, with stock wheels and tires and some motor work done. I cant seem to hook at all. First gear off the line just spins like crazy. Do i need to let some air pressure out of my back tires or just get new wheels and tires?

I think you are launching the car at to high of a rpm, granted if it is a stick.

Why would the stock rear end fail due to slicks? The clutch or universal joints will fail first.

I agree that the clutch and u-joints will go first, but the rearend is also able to go pretty quickley!

stock 8.8 rear ends can take a shit load of power, the axles might break, but i doubt it on a stock car

for $100 you can have the slicks posted in that pic.

your more than likely to resell them to fix your car when you have about 5 launches on them

that would be pus shipping.
and I have no Idea what that would be.

they won't fit your rims man.

you need 15 inch drag rims to run these.
your better off with drag radials to be honest.

slicks are for drag cars

I can get a shipping quote to you in the morning at best.

don't be suprised if it runs close to another $100 though...

tires aren't light or small.

and mind you... I am not talking about a v6 wheel...they won't fit either.

you need a drag wheel.

these tires are wide.

12 inches in fact

call it $200 at most.

and if it's less i'll send you back the cash.

err... I'll just get you the shipping quote.
