Can I beat this guy?

i have a 97gt fenderwell CAI, exhaust, custom h-pipe and a handheld tuner on an auto and im wondering if i can beat a 300zx non turbo v6 with dual straight pipes exhaust(no cats) with resonators and some cheap brand ricer mufflers stick shift.
he has run at the 1/8th mile and all i've heard was he ran in the 9's... At 40mph if we both "randomly accelerate at the same time" will i be ahead of him

????

i think the tuner will put you over the top, ive raced a 300zx and i thought it was a dog i beat it by about 3 car lengths

the twin turbo 300zx is fast and was always my dream car but the non turbo is fast but not compared to the mustang..that v6 rwd is not enough power or torque as the stang and they are heavy...

It shouldn't be too big of a deal. but don't screw with the 350Z's unless your ready for a good race.

I have dogged 350Z's on the street and the track. Nothing special in my opinion. Even the 300z with turbos wasnt impressive.

I dont know much about them N/A...but i would assume it would be close, but giving the edge to you

you will embarrass the 300, as for the 350, close but unless its modded you got the upper hand. i stopped underestimating our cars after i raced some BMWs and other high line cars on the dealership i work for, ya they are smother and have faster acceleration after about 70 mph than we do, but off ther line they dont have shit. ( unless were taking about m series)

im no pro or anything of the matter but its to my understanding that horsepower numbers are all relative..im just saying from my experiences( having drivin many 350's) that im not impressed with them.

im not a fan of dodge but those r/t's are bad ass. theres one where i live with a full exaust and when i was racing it i couldnt even hear my car.

im a mopar man no doubt..fav car is viper and next gt500..my dad is a mopar man also..has had everything from challengers to chargers..i love dodge and yeah the r/t charger is badazz cuz justh the v6 puts out some power...

lol its my dads,
it ran a 14.11 stock and with exhaust mod and cai ran a 13.79.
and from a roll there ridiculous 282rwhp and 330rwtq they are really de-tuned due to mercedes .. they dont wanna sell amg's slower than srt-8's which run 12.9-13.10, so as fast as 12.7 stock. i dont sedans, but there not much of a joke compared to our 96-98 stangs lol not too mention that back seat comes in handy sometimes

haha yeah..i love the srt-8 cuz it has the mds ""multi displacement system"" so around the city it gets almost 30 mpg cuz it shuts the other 4 cylinders off..its awesome..

lol yea r/t's have mds too it creates bad drone tho but it saves a masive amount of gas the srt-8 gets 25hwy 14 city and r/t is 32hwy and 18city i think

even the SRT-8's are slow though, from what I've seen. Havent raced 1 yet but I did smoke a Daytona w/ exhaust, intake, and wheels/tires.

yea 06 gts r obviously faster than the r/ts but an srt-8 is pretty damn fast considering these things were moire meant for the luxury than for the strip i mean it does weigh 4,100 plus
