Dyno Numbers!

Okay so the first set of pictures is with the 3rd gear pull!

Second is 2nd gear pull!

And these are the final 2nd gear pull

And here is the comparison graph! Blue is first 3rd gear pull, Green is first 2nd gear pull, and red is the 2nd 2nd gear pull!

I am a little disapointed, but because of the altitude of the dyno, 5600+ ft that is why the numbers are a little lower. Also this was on a Superflow AWD dyno that is corrected. And by being on an AWD dyno, the front wheels are driven as well, so it give more accurate numbers! I will have the videos up here is a little while!

I can't see them at work, what are the numbers? Also, isn't 4th gear the 1:1 ratio gear? That would be what your HP numbers should come from if it is 1:1.

The best I got was a 192.5 HP in second gear, and then 230.0 TQ. And well the third gear pull took 30 seconds to do and so they droped it into second to do the pulls! 4th would have taken for ever!!

By studing these graphs it really makes me wonder where I was at with the NPI intake! I mean I still am dropping off in power right around 5000 RPM, so its crazy! Even though my car pulls harder up top! So maybe the NPI just dropped off even worse!?

Maybe my car is a freak then. Cause i was doing 197 or so with exhaust and CAI. I was well into the 200's with my PI intake.

Cool to see the numbers though. Youre dropping off around 5200 or so. So now you know where to shift.

I always tell my friends when they go to get their cars or bikes dynoed to always assume less HP. I've seen some people get really butt hurt that their car doesn't have like 300 HP or something. But dynoing is one of the best things I have done with my car. I like to see exactly where I'm at. and by doing that I think you can better plan on what mods to do next for the car. What mods do you have so far?? Nice vid by the way!

Also, you said it was an AWD dyno? and that it was spinning the front wheels too? If so, I would say that would drain a good bit of HP

The 4th gear pull, would have taken over a minute to run from 2000RPM to 5500RPM and they didnt want to run my car at WOT for more than about 15-20 seconds! lol I am not disapointed too much, I got some numbers and now I can improve! Also the AWD dyno drains a lot if you watch the video it shows that the front wheels are moving at the exact same speed as the rear which means the rears were also being power drained by driving the front roller and wheels! Another thing is my altitude! I was hoping for 200 at least, but owel!

I dont care if something has more power than I do! I am happy with my car and will continue to mod it! Who cares if the guy next to me has a 400 HP eclipes? Thats what he put his money into where he could have started out with a little more horsepower and had a better platform!

I'd say those are great numbers for a 3rd gear pull at your altitude on that dyno. If you where on a single axel dyno in 4th I'd bet 100 bucks you'd hit 210 rwhp.

I know in 3rd it will read lower HP, and all the gears you are turning inside the dyno to make your front wheels turn too has got to kill power.

I say your right at or above what you expected if you could get it on a different dyno. So I'd be happy with it.

Also the main point in this was to see the power curve, and you know where the HP starts to drop off at now so you can shift at the best rpm!

lol well best of luck for you! And For some reason with my 2nd gear pulls, I was getting better numbers than the 3rd gear pulls!

I am going to be leaving for more than a week on friday, so I am going to drop my car off at Colorado Mustang and get 4.10s installed so I can pick her up after my trip! I do now see my numbers and tommarow I am going to the track so I will try shifting at 5200 RPM and see what my times are! They should be improved because of the PI intake anyway!
