Well if you have an question, you can jack up the rear of the car and put it in neutral. mark on the drive shaft a line and then rotate the wheel once around and count how many times it goes around. if it only goes 2 and three quaters you have 2.73s but if it goes 3 and a times around you have 3.55s!

I wouldn't be surprised really. Seeing as how I had a cobra hood, flowmasters, and strobe lights stuck in the headlights in there when I got the car. But I'm not complaining.

6K isnt that high on a cobra since you can go to 7K, but on a GT, the Rev limiter hits at 6200. Unfortunatly, Mods just have to rev for power (N/A) No way around it.

I'm aware of where the rev cut off is, but i was trying to help explain that theres still power in the higher rpms and that gears would get u there faster.

Yeah, I don't think I have 2.73s. I found a gear ratio calc (http://www.corral.net/tech/gearcalc.html) and with 2.73s at 2000RPM in 5th gear I should be going 83mph. Uhhhhhh, no I don't. More like 45. My owner's guide even says to shift at that speed for economical purposes.
