HELP Speed Cal

Okay so I installed it as the instructions say to a T! But when I am driving all it does is move the speedometer to just above 10 MPH at whatever speed! I have it set for 4.44 gears because my speedometer was roughly 5 off before the gear swap!
The large DIP switch settings are: 1101000000
The small DIP switch settings are: 1000000

Any help is appricated!

THose are the instructions i used to install the thing! they are the exact same as the ones that came in the box except with pictures! Man I guess I am going to have to try switching things while I drive to see if anything will work!

hey matt uhh well you got screwed outta money just like I did. Your car has a mechanical speedo and the Speedcal is meant for 99-04 gt's with the electronic vss. Its complete bs and I couldn't get my money back but yea. You need to get a 21 tooth or 22 tooth speedo gear to correct your problem. A Speedcal wont do jack with a mechanical speedo (96-98) Sorry bro hope this helps

you need to buy a speedo gear.. they are only like 10 bucks though

nope the speed cal will work with our cars! I did my research before I bough it! our trannys send out our speed via gear, but then it goes throught the VSS and then the VSS has magents in it and changes the mechanical portion into a electrical current that will change the speed o meter. I will be ginving them a call tommarow after work

I gotta 97 and I tried everything they told me and nothing worked and then they told me I didn't know what i was doing. LOL I don't believe in a speedo anyway, I gotta tach for a reason and I certainly dont use it for shift points. Good luck man hope they treat you better than they did me.

yeah well I have to have a speedo! this is my DD and I dont have a clue wat speed I am going with the new 4.10s! If I figure it out I will tell you how to do it!

my cheap friend had our friend with a m3 just run along side him one night while a passenger in the M3 read off certain speeds while the passenger in the mustang logged the rpms, gear and speed. He taped it up on the dash for the longest time until he finally just had it comitted to memory.

my buddy bought a mustang once, that was done like that sorta, except they used a sharpie to write the MPH on the clear bezel over the gauges.

lol I would never do anything like that! I am going to get this corrected! If you havent learnd by now, when it comes to the stang I am going to do it correctly only once! lol Thats why I went with the Speed Cal, I wanted it to be dead on!

nope because my speedometer wont work at all now! lol and if it does move its not by much! I know I was doing at least 60 down one of the neigborhood streets today to see if it would move, but it didnt go passed 18 MPH! I am pissed!
