Track times with 4.10s

Okay well I am not dissapointed, but I still didnt get 15.xx. Reason being is I didnt launch great at all the first run and the second time I only wound her up to 5000 to see if I get better times. The first run I ran her up to 5500-5600 and got a better MPH, but had a 2.6 sixty foot because of being the first time on the 4.10s. Second run I had the best launch I have ever had 2.3 60 foot time and a .053 RT but I shifted at 5000 where theoretcally I should shift after looking at my dynos, but I always run slower when I do that so from now on its 5500 with my current set up and maybe 6500 once I get my top end built.

What would be the best way to launch with the 4.10s and nitto 555s?

I forgot to mention that this was at 81 degrees with a absolute Barometer of 24.01 at 5800 ft. I weighed my car too and it came out to be 3450 pounds with me in it.

That old school car had a 3.110 60' time and ran an 18.543@69.90. lol And I am very confident that I will be in the 15s here next time I go up there as long as I get more than 2 runs in. The more runs I get in the better, because then I am not as pressured to get it right the first or second time!

Nice man, a few more runs and you'll be in the 15's no problem.

Wow, you'll grab high 15s soon. I thought the GT pre 99 was at least mid 15s or something? I never really thought GTs were slow at all, but those times seem really high. That or I overestimated the GT. I always figured Mustang GT = V8 = Quick. I still love them though. Not to be offensive towards you or anyone, I feel like I am though, but were the NPI GT kind of lacking on the power department or something? I've heard of people giving the GT a bad name before, I just chalked it up to them hating on Ford though.

Anyway you look at it, your grabbing the 15s next time your at the track! Hell, you have the PI parts if I recall, so maybe by next season you'll be saying hi to 14s! :award

I once spent an entire day, 3pm-11pm at Great Lakes Dragway in Union Grove, WI. I was learning the car all day and only cutting 14.0x non-stop. I was really depressed for the bolt ons and radials I have. After 5+ hours of running, I decided to give it another go. It started to cool off and the sun wasn't as intense. I finally broke into 13.79 and it made my day. Now I'm hoping for even better next time I go. Good luck, Matt.

I figured the mountains had something to do with it. Thankfully the closest track to me is Route 66 Raceway in Joliet, IL. (15 minute drive) Don't really care for it because of how long it takes to get in and get any runs out of it. Definitely prefer the tracks out in the country. Looks like a nice track you go to though, Matt.

NOW THAT IS FUNNY! lol its in the foot hills! lol now our cabin is at 9800 ft and you can take an ATV up to 13000 ft! lol

Well its really nice track and actually the NHRA runs there, and it was last weekend. Anyway because of the Mile High Nationals, it was the only time this month to run and was crazy busy!

I will be requesting august 1st off or at least to get off at 3 PM so i can go race all day!

Wow I just corrected it and it says I should be running at 13.91@99.95 MPH at sealevel and optium condtions.

At sealevel I believe this is a solid 14.2-14.5 car!

Try Illinois. I am absolutely impressed when I'm out of state and my car actually coasts down a hill on it's own. The biggest thing we have to a hill would be whatever a snow plow makes in a parking lot.
