Well I would like higher than 300 to be honest with you, but 300 would still make my car one of the hottest 2Vs here in the Denver area! What cams do you recommend? I know you have the VT 2s, but I think there are better out there. I may also go with a custom ground cam. What do you think about the cams I have in the link?

Also being 16 and a male I have a nice insurance payment! lol

If you cam make more rwhp than I have with the same mods but different cams ,Id like to see it. Im not John Force or anything,ha. Im a VT fan for a few reasons. Scott at VT takes care of his people . I have many friends here locally that use their products and love the customer service.

I dont care if X Brand cams make 50 rwhp,if their support service sucks,I dont want it. Also ,VT has a great record as far as PTV issues and they flat out make great power. Thats why theres always a waiting list to get their cams. They make a great product ,so you gotta get in line cuz they stay busy.

Also,VT doesn't try to be all things to all people. The are Mustang guys. Im sure they do other things, but they know our cars. Besides ,you need to get that car breathing up in the high altitude .

I think that people get caught up with 500rwhp,600 rwhp and dont fully understand how fast 300rwhp is with the right supporting mod's. Thats haulin ass buddy.

BTW- I dont have any experience with Hi Tech cams .Some people like them. But VT just has a great reputation ,and that goes a long way with me.

well here is my link!

Cams

And I have heard nothing but good about VT and scott, but the guy who is porting my heads suggested this cam. Oh and did you degree your cams? I dont know if I will go with something that requires degreeing, but I might! BTW the guy is great at these modulars and builds them all the time and know his stuff. I agree that once I am done with this swap I will build up my suspension and then I will put a 100 shot on there if I still have money. I am hoping to get a job at my local mustang shop next summer! They already asked me if I would like to!

About how long does it take to get cams from VT? And how would you suggest me getting my goal of at least 300 for the cheapest!

SRRY for the thread jacking!

Can you recommend a good place to get fairly cheap heads and cams? I bought a cold air intake yesterday. This may be a dumb question, but doest it replace the air filter?

Yeah the cold air intake will replace the plastic piping going from your trottle body to the filter. What type of CAI did you get?

The main reason I was asking about the air filter was because I had planned on purchasing a K&N Filter this weekend but wasnt sure if the air intake would replace the air filter and didnt want to waste the money on the K&N Filter.

Thats for a V6 Mustang 3.8L. That wont work on your motor. I say that you should get a JLT and get away from ebay for the CAI. And yes a JLT, MAC, BBK and all of those intakes will replace the airfilter!
