I'm actually more impressed you even bother doing the "arm out the window" thing. Hell, I can't even remember which motion means what.

You could try www.teamfordparts.com I've heard nothing but good things about them. It's basically a Ford Dealership where you only have to pay with one kidney instead of two. (The prices are actually reasonable for Ford parts!)

Also, is there a proper name for this "electronic blinky unit/freakin' thing?"

edit: I did some searching on TeamFordParts and resulted in this with just a couple minutes of effort:

I have no idea if it is what you need, but hopefully I'm steering you in the right direction. I put my turn signal on so you can follow me easier.

think of it like this:

hand up: going to heaven is the RIGHT way to go
hand down: STOP yourself from going to hell
and hand straight out: means LEFT.

thanks bro. i live in wa and travel on the highway to work. its like 2 left turns and highway and 2 right turns and i am at work. the troopers like to hang out where i get on the interstate and where i exit for work. sometimes i think they are just trying to see if i will do "SOMETHING WRONG" so i use the arm thing. i am just waiting for them to pull me over. they would be like "so son ya know where your blinker is" and i would say. i put my arm out for a left turn, or did you see that from your donut hole?
