98 COBRA . . . Twin Turbo ? ? ?
I have a 98 cobra and i want to start gathering parts and things to build it into a twin turbo car. What am i going to need and where can i find information on how to do this? I want it to be a very reliable car so i do not want any shortcuts, whatevver it takes to meake this thing right... I want to do it the right way the first time. It probably will get very technical and confusing but i am sure i can do it, with money and time. I am looking for engine upgrades that need to be done to handle the turbos, the size turbos that would be best, ect. Thank you for any info that you might have.

There is a guy i work with, he has a drag car with about 900 horses on pump gas. He told me of a street legal gt in florida that has 2300 hp. Not sure if there was an engine swap involved in that, but that car had twins in it. I am looking to at least top 900 horse, it would be nice to get up over 1000. I would like to have a happy medium between horsepower but not have too much lag. I am not sure what you mean by DD? I am planning on showing the car and using it on the strip every now and then, but i would like it to be street legal also.

whoa 900 hp is gonna cost a pretty penny. and DD is daily driver. with a goal of 1000hp your gonna need a new block and forged internals. but for an occasional strip car that is a little excessive.

So what am i looking at here for turbos and parts? I need to start to get together a list of needs and some good brand names (sizes, specs, ect.) Then i can start to get everything together. I don't want to start working on her untill i have everything ready. Plus this is going to be my own project too. I have my own garage with all the tools and everything that i need. Well my fathers garage i should say. This is going to be sort of a learning curve for me i guess, lol. But anyway everything i need is there i just have to get everything i need to do the job. Basicly i am trying to buld an all around car, weekend cruise/drag/show. I am not expecting to shortcut anything, and with that not expecting it to be easy.
