tested those 4.10s

well on friday and saturday afternoon i drove about 120miles, so on sat. night i figured it was time to test these things. it rained till about 9 but cleared up and by 12am it was very dry so i went cruising with my mustang buddys (02 white GT; 92 5.0-fast; 93 cobra-fast; 98 5pd)

so my buddy with the 98 has gutted cats flowmaster exhaust, K&N drop in and 275 tires in the back

for those who dont remember i have fenderwell CAI, exhaust, 93 tune, and just added 4.10's on crappy 245 tires

we went from a light and we were even through 1rst he shifted at 5.5 and whoever tuned my car put for 6k shifts but once it got into second i was up by a fender he shifts again at 5.5 me again at 6k and i move another half a car ahead putting me at a full one car lead at the 100mph mark where we shutdown

i was very happy wit the results because he later told me he ran a 14.7 at the track

Why? I ran a 14.6 with just an exhaust, and some 275 tires.

agreed, our cars are no slugs, with decent tires in ok weather with a GOOD driver they should see 14s fairly easily.

I just had my FRPP 410a gear installed and love it.

They make no noise at all, and almost never any noise, however, the rear end is a a bit loud if I decelerate with a lower gear. I don't understand why they are only loud from 1700-2000 rpm or so (this is also doing a higher mph.) As I said, they run like the stock Ford 3.27 I had in there before except for yelling a bit at a certain RPM range. Granted, I THINK it is going away the more I drive it though. Hell, it still smells like gear oil.
