I picked up my 97 mustang gt today, and man this is my favorite 5 speed to drive, its just so much fun. And man does it sound awesome. I wanted to ask im going to change the oil also today so i was debating should i put syntheic oil in it, since it does have 80,000 miles on it.

if you do use full synthetic in it don't plan on ever using regular oil again.

if you switch back to petroleum based oil from snthetic, you may notice some leaks and even possibly some burning of oil. As long as you stick with synthetic, you will have much more benefits over the petroleum based oils.

Same is true switching between different brands of petroleum based oils too though. Different oils have higher or lower concentrations of detergents in them. Swithching often can result in leaks and burning of oil.

I have heard of what HMUSN said before. But my 97 explorer I bought with 183k on it and it has 209 on it now (still runs great, go ford!) I have used both synthetic and pertoleum oil and swapped back and forth and I have not had any problems with leaks or burning oil. This thing uses NO oil at all.
But thats not to say it wont happen if you do it. This is just my experience with 1 car. I could do it in another car and it might or might not happen like HMUSN said.

can you tell me why I have migraines and why I just found out a couple of weeks ago that I had a stroke and Im only 28 years old? Dr put me on some meds for the headaches, and I have to take a med to make my blood not clot. they think thats what caused the stroke, plus a cist on my brain now. and 1 of my 7 liver functions is elevated also, they said they only see this in ppl who drink alcohol and or take tylenol. I do neither.

I am not a doctor.

the headaches can be caused by many things though...

I am guessing that the headaches and the stroke are linked to your viscous(thick) Blood... in fact

thick blood is known to cause vascular dementia.

did they put you on Nimodipine or heparin?

zomig and midrin for headaches
and then foltx tab for the blood (folbee generic)

when i have headaches, i go numb usually on my right side of my body and I lose my eyesight in my right eye. then comes the migraine. if i take my zomig nasal spray and midrin immediatly it helps ALOT!
