S.O.S


my 96 gt stalls when i drive it for about 2.5 hrs in 90degree weather, sounds like fuel starvation but i replaced the fuel pump yesturday i also replaced the air iddler sensor but it still does it p.s there is no check engine light. thanks

hmm... it really sounds like an overheating issue to me..

does it ever do it while sitting in traffic ?

are you positive that your gauge works?

yea it did that while in roushour traffic. i tried flooring it but sounded like it wasnt getting any fuell

still on your stock injectors?

run a bottle of cleaner and see if it helps.

it has to be an over heating issue then.

fuel is fuel.. it doesn't matter what the ambient temp. is... if there is something wrong it will happen at all temps..

I am going to have to say overheating issue.

check your radiator for leaks your fan.. your fan speed.. your thermostat ,water pump ect...

the fluids are ok and dont see any leeks but will flush my radiator and replace my thermostat see if it helps.

actually take the thermostat and wave a lighter under it and see if it pops that should tell you if its bad also sidenote remove the honeycomb grill while your at it if you havent already that will help reduce the heat alot

better way is to drop the thermo into a pot of boiling water - to check to see if it is still in good operation.

If your cars not running hot and not leaking any antifreeze I would say the cooling system is fine no need to replace the thermostat wouldnt make it two hours of driving it that was not opening, it sounds like something electrical getting hot and breaking down.
