stock gear size
I recently had 4.10 gears installed and am pretty sure that it had stock gears before but am not sure about the size and am in the process of recalibrating it. Can you tell me what a 1998 comes stock with as far as gears?

It should be a 3.27, but I think some had a 2.??. Take a pic of the stickers in you door jam and post them up.

Well if you have the old ones out just count the ring and the pinion and divide that will give you your gears...But the 2.?? would be a 2.73 more than likely...

how about looking at the pinion off the old gears.
it's stamped right on it.
