Timing help please

When I reset the timimg and got the chains reinstalled. I am turning the engine over manually with a wrench and the chain sometimes gets a little loose on the top side from stroke to stroke. It does it on both sides. Is this normal? I don't remember if it did it before I took it off.

Thanks,
Chris

How many miles on the car ? The chains should have been really tight before you took them off.

If you have the tensioners and everything installed properly ,but you still have some slack ,your probably ok. Theres usually slack in the chains since theres no oil pressure in the tensioners,

When you prime the oil system before you start the car for the first time, they should tighten up some more like mine did.
