the SWAP!


ok this is not soon, even tho the price is crazy cheap, i just need tools, jacks , stands, a truck to haul parts.. i will need many friends lol i only have basic hand tools

now i am getting a mark VIII 4.6 DOHC for very very....very cheap, i need to know what this is gonna take, can i grab the engine and just swap it for mine?
what else would i need? my car is already automatic so it will fit right in but how will it work with my computer?

no it's not going to work with your computer...

there are a few things that your going to need...

ecu.. harnesses...


your going to have to do somthing about your speedo since your car is gear driven and the ecu from the mark isn't...

ect ect... it'a a lot of work

the cc of the mark is 281

idk u kno how our pistons r dished to 11cc's well i was wondering what the mark's are

ok cool so i could buy it swap the blocks sell the heads for 90 and be 60 pounds lighter without loss of power?

no.

the heads are DOHC.. while yours are SOHC...

your compression would change and it would mess things up

not trying to be ignorant but how?

i kno of some1 with a dohc block with ported PI heads with a 12:1 compression so i got the idea from him but using npi to not have such a high compression

Mark VIII pistons are 2.8 cc and would be close to 12 to 1 static compression ratio. That engine should drop right in, you will only need to modify some of your exsisting wiring and have a tune done to optimize running.
