1998 mustang
why is the 98 mustang alot faster then 1994-1997 i now the 98 had 15 more hp but at the 1/8mile they all run 10s i run 9.6s. all the cars are stock except for maybe an exuast. whats so different

Your a better driver? Because the extra HP only comes from a differnt computer tune, and it definaly wont make you run more than a .5 of difference!

its in that book ford releases to all its salesman about vcars......not the stupid brochures either...i'm talking the hardcore knock someone over the head binder.... he could also have 3.27 in his car and everyone else has 2.73....15 hp and that + driver mod could make a difference |

yes they do......a 1998 manual tranmission is a t 45....
just cause it's not clearly labeled doesn't mean it doesnt go that hi the other way is by having someone here decode ur door tag... i know matt can do it, i might be able to....gimme a few and i'll check |

ok, i can do it for u.......
if u open the door to ur car there should be a white sticker in the door jam theres a bunch of letters and codes and what not the second to last row of numbers and letters.....3rd to last there should be one with AX and directly under that a letter or code of somesort..... what is it? |

r they kind of rare because my car is faster then most of the ones that i race at the track and they have the same modds i do,intake and exuast, i even have a junk cai for ebay for like $20 and i just cut the cats back off. they all have the $300 knn cai and off road h pipe with flowmasters. Im always a half second faster, and i not that good of a driver just a beginner

174,000 i dont now much about it. i bought it form my girlfriends dad he put a new tranny in it thats was it. he only had for about 6 mounths thats about how long ive had it.he bought it form pennsilvaina. the motor looked like someone had it out or the had the hood off for awhile because all the alluminium was corroated, i cleaned up real easy though,and all the seals look fresh on the sides of the block.

yea.....u may have locked out and gotten a rebuilt motor and tranni......
do u have any pics of ur car......under the hood and whatnot..... u got me a lil curious and i'd like to see whats up. |
