Can someone tell me exactly what the throtte body and the plenum do? I always like to know the reason I am putting something on my car besides that it will add horsepower.

it allows for more air flow to hit your motor.. resulting in faster revs and higher HP

you won't see a lot of gains with it unless you have cams, headwork, or a power adder though

why is it that some people say that a TB is a waste of money and completely pointless to buy?

The factory parts are restrictive, they allow less than stellar airflow to the engine. Although they do not yeild huge gains as a first mod they will net more as you begin to add more things to the puzzle.......

BWAL09, yes having a cool car will allow me to suck horribly at the internet !!!!

So far I have added a cai, h-pipes, flows, HD converter, overhauled the trans, added shift kit, and I have a diablo tuner that I have used twice. I have also installed 4.10 gears, have upgraded the battery and have installed iridium plugs and wires. I have to save up for the heads and manifold so I wont be installing those until the beginning of the year.

My car is in the shop today having a speedo gear put on and I am getting a fuel injection system cleaning. Have you heard anything bad about the cleaning? I am hoping it will help with the starting issue I have.

Everytime I try and start the car i have to turn the key about three times before it will start. It tries to start the other times but wont actually start up. Do you think the cleaning will help? no one can tell me what is wrong with anything. They cant seem to find anything wrong with it.
