Fuel/air ratio is too lean... where do i start ?

i also got code 1409 EGR Vacuum Regulator circuit malfunction... these are my last too i had a ton when i bought the car thanks to this forum and all you guys my car is running much better and im down to the last 2

my guess is to replace the DFPE that hooks to the egr with a vaccuum hose, but I really dont know. Wait for Ujslost to do answer!

any possiblility you have a vac hose you left off? that would make it run lean and if its one that runs to the egr it could effect that also


take the dpfe off and see if its got water or moisture in it, dpfe is a grey/silver looking electrical piece that goes to the egr

make sure the hoses arent dry rotten and has a crack thats leaking but isnt obvious to the eye, try blowing or sucking onthe hose if it looks dry rotten
