Used programmers?

Does anyone have any thoughts on buying a used programmer like SCT or something. I am trying to get my car dynoed and tuned but I need a tuner so I can tune it while I am there. I am on a budget considering I just spent most of mod money for a little while on my PI swap. I was wondering if there is cheaper ones like on ebay or something.

as long as they aren't VIN locked you will be fine.

I have a SCT live wire that i will sell you, i havent used it much, and i will turn it back to stock, $475
