alright guys i just did a compression test at my friends house with a manual compression tester.

cylinder 1 - 120
cylinder 2 - 140
cylinder 3 - 150
cylinder 4 - 130
cylinder 5 - 150
cylinder 6 - 155
cylinder 7 - 150
cylinder 8 - 155

The average was 144.

Note that cylinders 1 and 4 were done first and since this was our first time doing it, I dont I think we turned the engine over enough to get a full rating on those ones.

But yeah it looks like the engine is in pretty good condition. I would also like to note that the previous owner was an ASE certified mechanic.

So should I go with the PI swap?

i would check that #1 and #4 cylinder again. the car will take to the p.i. swap fine, those cylinders are just a little low. not to bad, but never hurts to double check.
