1998 mustang gt or 2000 mustang gt?
I recently bought a 1998 mustang gt. I did research and i didnt know the 1999 and up mustangs carry more hp. I am looking at a 2000 mustang gt and possibly trading my mustang gt for the 2000 mustang gt. Would that be a wrong move or is it best just to stay with my car? my goal is to get my mustang at 300 hp. What would be the best car to do it in? I figure in the long run im gonna waste a lot of money putting in performance parts in my 98. Im guessing it will be cheaper fixing up the 2000 since it comes with 260 hp as oppose to the 225hp that i have now. Oh the cost for the 2000 mustang gt would be around 11000 with 69k. my mustang i bought for 9000 cash with 70k. help me out people

i have a 96 GT convertible.....
i bought it with 62k and only paid 6700 taxes and tags i didn't know his car was a convertible...... if he resales it privately he might be able toget a little more then 7, but not much.... and it would still be more cost efficient to do the swap |

I paid $9950 for my 97 vert with 74k miles on it. But its in damn good condition. Ive looked at a few 99-02 models and mine is in a shit load better shape than the ones I have seen lately.
I doubt you will get that for yours unless is pretty much mint, then it all depends on the buyers in your area. But the cost to mod yours and the cost of taking a loss on saleing and buying the 2000. I agree with Ragtop on this one. Mod yours. If your like me and alot of other ppl here, thats cheaper especially if you have any kind of mechanical abilities, and can do your own labor. If you cant do your own labor, then you gotta deceide what you really want to do as far as mods to either car that you keep.

u could also try finding a friend mechanically inclined.....thats what i did.....loaned him money knowing he was just gonna give me free labor instead. Plus I get to work with him and get more of a hand on experiance. |
