IMO PI heads arent worth installing unless they have some porting and polishing work done to them, and from what I understand the NPI are actually better responders to the P&P work.

PI cams...cost about 100 bux good for about 20-25hp......

but if ur gonna keep stock NPI heads u might as well upgrade to an aftermarket cam........

u'll see an extra 35-40hp gain on top of just PI cams

theres a guy on this site with the FULL swap......

he's also got an exhaust and tune and CAI, he's pushing awound 289???

So figure he gained but he's got bumped compression which is good for making power, so figure without the heads u'll gain around 80-85

ur looking at around 800 for the cams and springs........

150 for the PI intake.....

oil change and coolant change another 50-100 depending on ur oil....

gaskets and the nipple and therm is another 50 bux....

tuner and/or custom tune can run u around 350-1000, depending on whether u go both ways or not....

so yeah, for around 2k u can gain aome decent power......with suspension uprgrades and some gears u'll be in the 13's.....maybe even LS1 territory

a 280rwhp mustang with gears and suspesion is gonna be able to keep up with an LS1........it might get run down past 100 MPH, but it'll hang
