Drifting in my 'Stang

well, i like to drift as much as i like to drag. i've seen stangs drift before and i wanna learn how. they say one way of doing it is using the e-brake but my e-brake doesn't work. well, as well as i'd like. it can't lock up the tires at high speeds, only at stops. anyway, how do i strengthen that up and also, can you only drift in a manual?

i dont use the ebrake.. i just drive kinda slow then give it a nice amount of throttle and control it with the gas pedal and steering wheel alone.. depending on how powerful your car is, that may be easier.. and if you do it the way i mentioned, i think it would also be possible in an auto

if you are talking about really drifting not just power slides you need alot of power you can do it in a auto but you have to have a shit ton of torque it is much better in a manuel. The way if just hitting the gas works you just have to no when to brake and hit the gas. The e brake is the best way and witha manuel is better because you can pop the clutch around the turn

For an auto just keep it in the low 2 gears. My cousins do it all the time in their auto and they don't have a problem with it. A big brake kit would really help in locking up the rear tires. Mine seems to do it fine when I want to slide, and I'm stock. You also could be having a hard time locking them up because you're auto. So the tires are giving too much resistance for the e-brake to handle. Unline a manual where you can just hold in the clutch. But keep tying I'm sure you'll find out what works.
