exhaust leak

Okay guys I've had my new exhaust in for awhile now and I have a small leak between my midpipe and catback that's bugging the heck out of my 'cause I can hear it. We've tried to stop the leak when we put it on, but the pipes just don't fit together quite right. So I was thinking if there is any other way to seal up that leak because if I try to bend the pipe a bit, I'm afraid that I might put a kink in it. Would high temp gasket maker be okay to seal it? Is it a good idea? Any ideas how to fix this?

Muffler shop can weld it up for no more than 20 bucks.
