Bought PI Engine and swapping

alright so my friend sold me his PI engine for $700, nothing wrong with it. got it checked out and everything. now what all do i need to drop it into my 98 GT? also, when i buy parts for the engine, of course they're gonna be year 2000 parts (forgot to mention it's a 2000). but what about exhaust? 98 parts? anyway, let me know

that's what i was thinking. i thought that i'd have to tune the computer or buy a new ECU and stuff. well, that's awesome. so why don't people buy slightly used 99+ motors instead of doing the PI swap? it seems a lot cheaper. don't know about the installation, if you're gonna pay for it.

anyway, so all the engine parts, bolt-ons, and superchargers/turbos are going to be for a 99-04?

no idea here either. you can probably find an engine on Ebay for fairly cheap and then do the install. i've found a couple for a grand or less

if i could find a pi motor for 700 i would buy it. but i think people go ahead and do the swap because with the swap they usually put down higher numbers then with just the stock motor (compression bump ofcourse, but its the difference of 225-230 vs 240-245 to the wheels). anyways, congrats, and i believe it drops right in...
