flood title

alright i went and drove the cobra that was flood titled, intially upon startup it puttered a little bit and then died, this may be do to a low battery, the car started right back up again but had a low idle maybe around 500-600 rpm it sounded like it was going to putter and die but it didnt, the airbag light was on the duration of the test drive, and was somewhat flickering.. headlights worked and everything... as for the test drive wow i didnt know 80 extra horses felt like this compared to my steed, and ran great, i didnt rev it up past 4000 rpm because i had an employee with me. My question to 96-98 cobra owners or anyone else very mechanically inclined what should i look for on monday when i take it for a more extensive test drive with just my dad and I?

under the hood looked fine, but i cant justify spending 6k on a cobra when i could invest half of that in my GT and have it faster. i feel bad for the guys thats going to buy the damn thing part it out and sell the motor to one of us though...

Ive seen some of these cars and they arent worth the hassle, rust , and from what i seen ya cant ever get that damn water out of the trans, I have changed the trans fluid for a guy and even did a 100% fluid exchange and still the trans fluid always looked bright pink and milky.

a bank will only finance 40%, plus if something happens{wreck) you will only get 40% of its value.I bought an 02 pony several years ago, my 1st stang, never had a problem with it, couldn't tell it had been flooded. Great car and when I totaled it, I got full value for it! Insurance mistake! HA HA Needless to say when it came time to renew, they dropped me like a hot rock. I'd say find another one.
