Looking For input on 97 Cobra
Im making the transitions from stereos to go fast. i just bought a 97 Cobra with 130k 5 speed its got a fiberglass hood and exhaust other than that its bone stock i went 14.2 @ 99. it feels like a pretty solid car didnt know if there was anything simple i should be aware of before i start modding??

basics first. cai, t/b, and header back. after that is when it gets crazy expensive.

ya it booked at like 78 or 8200 but its not in perfect condition previous owner removed factory steering wheel for a race one and there is a three gauge pod in place of passenger air bag. it would have bugged me but im sure ill need them when the modding gets underway this winter

My best advice, any part you deceide to throw at your car, look for good used parts, first before buying new. That will save you alot. But you also need to know what your looking for.
Ok wait that wasnt my best advice, my best advice to you would be, to get out before its to late, cause once your snake bit, well there just aint no turning back. |

This car is going to consume your life. You couldn't have picked a more expensive Mustang model to go with at the same time being both stupid quick and ridiculously awesome. Congrats, I'm pretty certain 96-98 Cobra owners are loopy.

my dad had a 66 fastback so ive always loved mustangs and i plan on dumping alot of cash into this one. everyone i run with is into ls1s and id like to give them a well deserved whippin.
