HP gains.

On a 97 GT what kind of gains will you recieve with some patriot stage 3 heads and performance cams? Car has pulleys, cold air intake flowmasters. Just currious, respond if you wish.

stage 3 is a dead end for street cars, you better have 4.10s

HMM, not bad. In my mind I thought it would push me to about 300 hp, but I wasn't for sure. Seeing that the cobra of the same model gets that and the only difference is intake and heads (4v though).
The reason I'm asking in the first place is I'm wanting to baby step up to a s/c or turbo. I dont just wanna throw one on there and tare everything to hell.
Why do you say its dead end for street cars? Do you lose torque?

EDIT: or would I see more gains from port and polishing my current heads then getting cams.

you loose a shit ton of torque, and driveabilty will go down, they are more for full blown racing application. Boomer knows this crap more being that he is porter, but i think that patriot performance heads come in stages and are set accordingly to their port, so a stage 1 has a worse port than a stage 2...etc etc

I was comparing the numbers and stage 2 vs 3 wasnt incredibly different. i still dont understand if you got well we will say stage 2 heads, cams, and a good tune why things wouldnt be good. Wouldnt the tune be what effects driveablity for the most part.

u'll see more of a gain with aftermarket cams. U've got an NPI motor, so u can see increases as much as 50rwhp from aftermarket cams and a good tune.

i'd say ur gonna gain about 20-25rwhp by the P&P

it's very hard to see over 300hp with the SOHC 4.6 unless u mod the crap out of her
