Boosting after PI Swap

What would be safest and highest boost I would be able to do after the PI swap? I plan to get supercharged eventually but I don't want a massive boost. I was thinking somewhere between 6-8 psi.

What could I do to compensate for the high compression ratio with a blower on my car?

Would that be a better idea? Are the PI heads even worth the money?

If you P&P your PI heads is it going to be good or bad for lots of boost?

You can run low boost...

Like 6-9 psi with a GREAT tune...

normally good but lots of boost wont be good if you have pi heads on a stock npi motor.

With 9-12#'s? NO not on the stocker...

Boost is only a measure of resistance...Even if you port the heads and such the boost will go down but the power would still be there...

With the built stroker you will be fine though...

yeah with pi heads on a stock npi your c/r raise to 10:5 i believe, so since your replacing the internals you will be fine as long as you run a lower c/r.

i don't understand y it makes sense putting 10k into a 5.0, but not a 4.6.

Running boost after a PI swap GREATLY depends on who tunes your car. With some time and a really good tune you will be fine. It is nothing a compitent shop can't handle. I plan on running about 6psi turboed on my '98 after a full PI swap and a few other mods and my shop says I will be fine. And realistically your C/R will be around 10:1 - 10.2:1. That 10.5:1 figure alot of people say is figuring your engine is brand new and there isn't any sort of leaking. Pretty much in a perfect world that would be your C/R. You can always get your combustion chambers opened up a bit to give you a couple more cc's in there and drop your ratio another .10 or so. you are just going to have to pull alot of timing until you get some bottom end work, but you will be fine.

i have to agree. as long as you have a passion for your car, you drop as much paper as you want for all i care. i love my Stang and i'm gonna drop enough into it til i'm satisfied and when one of those 10K invested 5.0s or 4Vs tell me "Gaaaahhhhhh damn"

anyway, aren't there pistons to lower our compressions in those stroker kits?

with 5k in a 5.0 it takes about 10k 4.6L to do the same
