Using preminum gasoline

does it really make a difference using super unleaded? and if it does, how does it help the car run faster?

not really.

you need to tune your car for the higher octane.

it just burns slower.

Its a waste of money to blow an extra 12 bucks per tank if all you doing is uppin the octane plus a tune.

last time i checked it only cost about .25-.30 more a gallon. 15*30=$4.50

AND FYI, when i switched the 93, i gained a little bit back MPG wise and my car started running smoother.

All in all I got what I paid for.

I was going from regular to premium which depends on the gas station is anywhere from .6 to .8 cents. with a 15 gal. gas tank.
.8 * 15 =12. Its +/-...

That extra dollar can get you a 20 minute phone call anywhere in the US and Europe....

If you are going to use premium, get a tune for it. If you don't, midgrade is fine.

Im havin a blast doing this. Actually I was right on my numbers but I haven't bought regular gas in a while so actually there is a .20 cents +/- difference between regular and premium. Ex: regular $2.60 and premium $2.80. So the difference with a 15 gal tank is $3.00. Enough math for one day.

IMO it's worth the extra 3-6 bux a week, depending on how much u drive. My car runs and idles just a little bit smoother.

I'm sorry, but it wasn't like i was going off topic. Wether it was a mistake or not, a full tank of premium in a mustang doesn't cost 12 extra bux. Thats my point
