Plans for my 96

I've got a load of time at work to think of what to do with my car so I figured I should write up something... tell me what you think. BTW my car already has the pi swap... head and all.

O/R X-pipe

Ford racing springs

lower control arms (undecided which brand)

Procharger running 6-8 psi to start then after engine rebuild around 15 psi

E.I.C. Extra injector controller

Snow performance Water-Methanol Injection kit (the $400 kit)

typhoon intake with pro performance plenum and throttle body (rpm outlet)

bbk ceramic shorty headers

Black racing seats up front (haven't decided what brand yet)

custom rear seat delete with 2 12' subs and a small cabinet at the bottom of the box for holding the extra injector controller and the water methanol injection controller.

new rods, pistons and all the other fun engine internal parts

new valve springs

cobra crank and flywheel

Saleen body kit with wing

New paint (stock green)

Any suggestions or comments?

So how did it feel to hit the lotto??? lol! That's sounds like a great list. I'd go turbo instead up supercharger. But that stuff is going to cost you an @$$ load of money. Good luck!

heh heh... I don't so much hate the 2 valve motor as much I do the hood that came stock on them. :wink

And I'd say to anyone spending over 10 grand on engine upgrades to get some better stopping power ASAP - as that is an easily overlooked mod. Especially for you GT guys, at least upgrade to the stock cobra 13" front brake assembly if your plans exceed 400whp. Those stock GT calipers/rotors are pretty abismal as is, let alone on a higher output car. **my thoughts anyways**

If my budget ever allows me to get my car above 400 (and that will be naturally aspirated mind you), even though I have improved slotted 13"rotors and dual-piston calipers already, I'd feel the need to improve to the 14.25"/6-piston caliper combo that a few suppliers have on their shelves.

I've actually been thinking of looking into new brakes for next summer... after the supercharger, intake manifold, springs, and some new seats.

because right now I have warped rotors and even with good rotors I'd be worried I wouldn't be able to stop in time if something popped in front of me. (namely a deer lol)

but yeah I figured out that by next summer I should have everything above the rear seat delete finished. Afterwards it will come as a couple big chunks of parts in whatever order I feel like.

I'm also going to be putting a wastegate on the intake.... yes the intake, run it on a 15# pulley and let it sit at 8 psi through the powerband.
