do a pi swap and then port and polish those then you'll get the best of both but as for money wise just pi swap because you dont wanna fuck up a set of heads... ya know what i mean??

honestly as much as i'd love to, i'll probably end up not supercharging it, unless i hit the lottery or something lol...so you guys think i should just go with the PI heads? cause the school im going to i could easily port and polish my stock heads there, if its worth it

if thats the route you want to go, port and polish your PI heads.

NPI heads respond better to porting and polishing i think.
Ask boomer, he knows.

ported pi ftw.

if i remember i read that ported npis do flow better with a cam with a lift of .550 or greater but cause ptv issues with the stock pistons requiring new pistons, and the ported pis will still give you a better downlow grunt...

That is incorrect, lift has nothing to do with PTV, it occurs in the low lift areas. The piston is almost 3" away at the point of max. lift.

i tell ya what i think boomer should do is write us up a sticky. because this npi vs pi head thing comes up way to often. and boomer knows more than any of us do about these heads. He has his own porting and polishing business. I am currently using him now for my fox body heads, and am gonna use him in the future, when i start to heavily mod the sn95. Many other ppl here have used him and have great results.

When the duration is so long that the valves are still open when the piston is high enouhg in the stroke that they hit. It also has to do with the lift while at that duration.

Sticky Boomer ( if he is willing to write it, he sucks at the internet! )
