From what I hear its somewhere around 40. But I'm sure someone who has done the swap can give you more accurate numbers.

a pi swap will put you at 260 hp at the crank... basically the same as a 99-04 gt, all the 99-04 gt's gave that are different than the 96-98's are the PI heads and cams. so it will up it from 240 to 260 or so.

It won't give you 260 to the wheels.

instead of a complete pi swap, just buy the heads and intake, then get some better cams

no way on the 100HP. they were smoking a HUGE crack pipe when they told you that. horsepower isn't that easy to come by with our motors. stock, a 98 GT should have somewhere around 180-190 at the wheels (correct me if i'm wrong) and with the swap you should be past the 200s. maybe 220-230. (again, correct me if i'm wrong)

a 96-97 has 215, 190 at the wheels. a 225, and i guess 200 at the wheels so it has about ten more hp. The PI swap gives u the intake manifold, heads, and cams that the 99-04s have. They work alot better with grasping some more hp than the stock 96-98 parts that restrict that those larger hp gains. It's just a cheaper resolution to hp than exspensive aftermarket intakes and ported heads and other cams. I have heard hp gains mainly around 40hp. But I have had a reputable mechanic tell me that with a good setup and good tune that u can boost that to more like 75. So I'm not sure. I would think that the PI intake and heads and maybe some better cams would do that for ya w/ a nice tune.

Hopefully someone w/ experience in this swap and a dyno tune afterwards will tune in and give some hard factual info.

Sup fellas. Yo Rando.

The first time I had my car on the dyno, I had an all NPI motor. Mods at the time were K&N filter, off road MAC H-pipe and Flowmasters.

With that set-up I dynoed at 201.2 rwhp .

Now I got the full PI swap with VT Stage2 n/a cams and tune along with MSD/FRPP ignition parts and the mods previously mentioned..And you can see the numbers in my sig. Its well over 300 at the crank also.

The PI swap is a big improvement ,but the aftermarket cams really crank it up. I used to have a 2000GT ,so the difference was obvious to me.

haha . Thanks for the vote of confidence man. I definitely like to help out/ I know how it feels to be searching for the power.

Memphis ,no ETs on this set-up yet unfortunately . Haven't had a chance yet. It should be fairly low on street tires.

RAG,you got like the coolest sig up here.

Okay if you just swap only PI heads intake and cams all stock 99-04 parts. You should see around 255 to the wheels. The bump in compression from 9.3:1 to 10.4:1 with pI head with the 11cc dished piston makes it a little more powerfull than a 99-04 Stcok gt! And with after market cams 290 is easily achievable.

When i finally swap mine on i plan on around 305 to the rear wheels!

awesome Matt. can't wait to see vids of that either. and maybe you could answer a question i've asked a million times and still no answer.

what size or kind of pistons do i need to lower the compression after the swap? just for later FI applications

he just said.. with just the pi swap and some ignition stuff he went from 201 to 290 rwhp. so.. an 89 rwhp increase is well over 30-40. thank you very much for the info man..
