Supercharger

Supercharger...................................... ........I want one.Don't have the money though. I'm sad, lol.

Ok for real now. Is it even possible to have a supercharger in a 98 GT. I've been reading up on them and such. And the centrifugal(doubt i spelled it right) one seems coool.

I wouldn't want people to think it had it in. I mean idc if it has to like stick out a bit, I just don't one of them things were their like a foot or more sticking out of the front of the damn car. I hate that, it just looks weird.

And I read that it can give alot of horsepower, i'm not sure how much but if it costs damn 3-6k it better do a damn alot to the mustang.

But please explain these supercharger things to me. Thnx.

you can gain between 30%-70% HP depending on the application, how much boost your pushin and all your supporting mods. like exhaust, gears things of that nature. Some SC are intercooled, some are water cooled. I would definately go with the intercooled application. YOu will have a front mount intercooler that will be noticable, but you can always spay paint it flat black and no one will really be able to tell. as far as the sound, there is not much you can do about that if you want a good SC.

SC on a 98 GT is very possible and alot of people have done it.

Heres a link to a stick that you can find in the poweradders section.

Yes you can get a s/c for your year. Here's vortechs kit as an example:

As far as not sticking out almost all s/c's whistle or whine. Trust me. You say that you want a sleeper now but once you get one you won't mind the sound a bit. This will get you started but read up on that first link. Good luck.

I've got a Vortec and it's a blast! The difference between mine and the wife's stock car is amazing. Day and night. If you can do it, go for it. I don't think you'll be disappointed. As for stickin out, you can't tell it's there til it's running. Has that whistle.
