Finally gave out

My clutch finally gave out. Any recomendations on a new clutch? Plus it might just be a throwout berring, Should I replace the whole clutch or should I just replace the berring?

Yeah, its T.O bearings if you put in the clutch and it makes a loud friction sounding noise. Mine has that problem. It's a 40.00 part, but you have to drop the tranny.. so might as well put in a new clutch.

I'm not sure what im getting.. maybe a SPEC clutch, or or a FRPP king cobra.

Yeah I was looking at a spec stage 1 clutch but I had never heard anything about them. I have a stock motor. So this clutch should work? They wanted to charge me $232 at ford and this spec stage 1 clutch is only $199.

Go with the spec stage 2. Im breaking mine in now and boy does the shit grab.
You might consider upgrading the flywheel too since the trannys gotta come out.

So a spec stage 1 isn't a good choice? I'm really trying to conserve money but I don't want to get something that won't last. My Cobra is all stock. so I thought it should do the trick.

no the stage 1 is a good clutch, i got the stage 2 cause i wanted somthing more aggressive and if you plan on a lot of power its a good idea. but if your car is stock and you dont plan on doing a lot to it or racing the stage 1 would probably be a better choice.

I have a spec stage one kit on the way in for 180 bucks SHIPPED! It advertises that it can hold up to 450ftlbs of torque. So it should be perftect for your stock set up even if you mod the car. Plus spec is a really good brand. 180 bucks is a steal. Here's the link.
