coil and wire swap

I recently swapped the stock coil packs and wires for MSD blaster ones. I have heard that the spark plug gap has to be changed after that due to a hotter spark. Engine is a 4.6 from a 98 GT convertible with an automatic.

Can anybody tell me what the new gap should be or where I could look to find what I need to know. Thanks

I went with Performance distributors Livewires and Screaming demon coil packs, they are a set and its good shit. I didnt do anything to my gap. Gained .2 in the 1/4 mile.

Also put the MSD wires and coil packs on my cobra and no gap change.

Just run a gapper under youre stockers and then push them up a small amount and see if you honestly feel any difference. I dont think you will. But it might ease youre mind. :wink
