pass side header stud/bolt

I was taking off my stock h pipe and I think I may have stripped the lower stud/bolt on the header where it connects to the mid pipe. I need to know if its a stud or bolt and if its a stud where could I buy a used header?

If it's too much I may just buy some shorties and say fuck it

Well I've made up my mind then... what is the best way to install them? Also do you think I may damage anything if I just bolt up the X-pipe up to the headers and have the one bolt not secured? Just so i can go to someone's garage that is...

if you dont secure both bolts youll have a good exhaust leak, so both need to be tight. so i take it your getting some shorty headers right? the eaisiest way is to support the motor, unbolt the k member and lower the motor. it is a VERY tight sqweeze.

Well I'm actually pretty sure if I can just get a thread going I may be able to put the old bolt back on... the thing is though I don't have something to re-thread the stud. I'm not sure I want to go thru the hassle of dropping the k member and lowering the motor since I don't have access to a lift of any kind or even a halfway decent jack for that matter.

any idea where I could get a tool to rethread it? ace maybe?

Well I can take in a bolt for the other side... so I should be able to do that... How big are they?

I'll probably just change my headers later on when I have access to a lift... or a cherry picker

I had one stud on the pass side for a while and no problems. Just make sure you have that gasket in there.

Did you use a swivel joint and a breaker bar on it ? Along with some PB Blaster ?

Yeah you can get that gasket from the dealer also.
