Smoked Tail Lights

i wanna smoke my tail lights. i dont want those gay cover that look like shit from close up. so i think im gonna paint them. i was wondering if anyone has pictures of what it would look like on a 96-98 style tail light. and what kind of paint i would have to buy.

how to paint the headlights and tail's what shade to go with.

you take the tailights out.

Clean them with soap and water.

Dry them off completely

Spray on very light coats of VHT Niteshade (

Around 1-2 minutes between coats

10 coats is dark dark!

5 is about what i have!

Let them dry.

Spray some clear coat on them, let it dry.

Bolt them back on!

Mine will be darker, I am going to spray more on tomorrow before work! They arnt dark enough for me!

I dont know where to get VHT taillight tint other than from summit or jegs. You might beable to find it at an Autozone or something though!

No, it has to be a tint. I only suggest VHT Niteshade
