Driver's Seat

Damn it!! My seat broke on me. I sat down in it and pop! the front left bracket came loose - now it's a rocking chair. Better not be any fat jokes coming my way... I'm only 155, lol.

Never taken a seat out or put one in before - is it possible that the seat just came off of the tracks in that one spot? I'm hoping it's as simple as popping it back into place, but it's dark outside so I can't really tell. I'll definitely have to fix this tomorrow before driving the car. Any help and/or tips are welcomed and appreciated....

the only thing you can do is look and see the damage..

seats are pretty simple to work with man

agreed

mine has broke too, I broke a weld and well i had to replace the whole track setup.

hahaha!!!......... hey I might only weigh 155 but I can bench 200+lbs Lol! I just don't put on weight (I guess you could say that I have a good power/weight ratio... unlike my car, haha!)

Well I might be in the market for some new seats... I can still drive with the seat a little wobbly but I'd hate to have to do it for long. And my leather is so split it was probably at the right time that a support brace weld snapped - christmas bonus lump sum will be on the next check, hell yeah!

Any reccommendations on cheap-er seat sets out there for a 1996? I've seen some seats selling at 800-1000 a piece... I can't shell out that much money (my ass isn't worth spending that much money on, hehe). Thanks.

Hunsacker - not too pricey from what their website has to offer, I'll look into them. I'm soooo picky though, this might be a long search to find a seat I really truly like. Thanks Matt.

lol this topic is pretty funny. I broke my drivers side seat too. The front bracket was broken, and then when i was giving my girl friend a ride in the stang at about 60 i realized it was a cul de sac and swerved hard left and broke the back bracket, and my ass went flying lol. so time for a new bracket or something, or ill try welding it.
