Temperature Reading High


ya i was driving home and i noticed that my tempature was on the high side like on the L on normal and useally its on the m or R

I think its the thermastat reading wrong or stuck.
i think its the orignal

any suggestions on whats wrong


???

its a gauge that is just a dummy gauge. Its not accurate at all!

mine did that too but it gradually rised little by little, days later and my t stat went out.

ya thats what mines doing

it looked like a while back when my fan belt went and the tempature went crazy and went all the way to red but its like hovering around the L and Red now but it wasn't doing it earlier today

why dont you check it, trow the t stat in boiling water to see if it opens up.

It could be a bad t stat. U could throw in a 180 when u pull it out anyway.

ya my dad going to taken it in tonight or tommrrow to have them do it cuase supposly he said u need a special wench or somthin to get it out

ehhhh......
my parents took it to the shop today they called back later and they said it was the intake manifold

2 time replacing it last time was 8 years ago when my sister had the car

now there putting on the series 3 on that the new mustangs have

anyone know if those are better cuase i know that they have aluminnum Crossovers

the aluminum cross over is the repair for the plastic cross over. thats the one you want.

damn well i guess that wasn't the problem either

alright they changed the thermastat and they changed the intake mainifold and its still runin on the A and like I said before it useally runs between the R and the M even when i run it hard then it goes on the M

anyone got any idea's on what is wrong

they also changed the sending unit

seems like a normal temp, I dont think it is overheating. I could be wrong.

thats what the guy said too but i always remembered it running on the between the R and M or alittle bit on the M

well mine runs right on the M or close to the right side of the M almost between M and the A

i say just put in an aftermarket gauge.

Mine did that it turned out to be the thermostat, took it in and the guy replaced it and overtightened the polly intake bolts and cracked it the entire length on the passengers side. So out of it I got to do a PI swap and a 180* thermostat. Well worth it

I changed my heater core today and flushed my entire coolant system with a water hose. and now my temp gauge went from reading on the M to reading on the R
