Tremec 3650 In 96 GT

i just bought a 2000 gt p.i. engine. the t-45 in my 96 GT is having problems, so i decided to swap to the tremec 3650 i got with the engine. i was hoping someone here had done the swap and could help me with a few questions. 1. is there a way to use my stock instrument cluster with that trans, with mine being analog and the 99+ being digital? 2. from what i can tell, the mounts are different.. any help? and 3. according to the tremec website, the 3650 is 3.5mm longer than the t-45. is that going to make much of a difference? i've tried google and so far no luck. any help would be appreciated. thanks.

you will have to get a new drive shaft. and personally, i wouldnt put in a 3650. It has just as many problems as a stock T45. I would put in a promotion powertrain built T45. You also probnably wont beable to use the stock cluster, because the VSS is completely different. That will also throw all your other gauges off. I say keep a T45.

i know the 3650 isn't much better than the t-45, but like i said, my t-45 is in bad condition. i would just get it rebuilt but i've already spent too much money on this swap. it IS still drivable tho, so if it comes down to it, i can put it back in the car. i'd just rather not. so basically i just need to know if it is possible to put the 3650 in my car, and if so, what mounts do you use? i haven't taken them off yet but they look different to me. thanks for the help!
