98 GT Questions

hey this is my first post i just wanted some of everyones help...i have a 98 gt 5spd...im in the process of saving up some cash for engine work.. i was thinking of getting the pi heads, vt stage II's and the typhoon intake, my car also has 100,000 miles on it which really isnt that much but i pound my car ( in a good way) can anyone recomend some internals for my car pistons, rods, crank, ect? thanks any feedback would be great oh and my dad will be doing all the work so there will be no extra costs.

go with a regular PI intake instead of the typhoon. itll be cheaper and more reliable than the typhoon is.

I have heard of way too many fitment problems. And it will not benefit you at all being N/A unless you have some wicked cams, and some heavyily ported heads. As for the bottom end. You could go with a forged stroker kit from DDS or VT. But I would rather keep the stock stroke, because with out Forced Induction, the stroker will not gain you but 5 horsepower. Also if you plan on nitrous, go with a 10.5:1 compresson or higher.

i would get them. but i would get a set of spring to be safe. you can get about 50 to 60 hp on the pi swap.

well next month, im hoping to put in hand ported PI heads by boomer, Custom Spec cams, crower springs, Hooker Headers, and a UPR K-member. I am hoping for at least 300 to the rear wheel, but would be nice for 315. anyway 4.10s are fun in the NPI car, but I cant wait to feel them with a PI swaped car.
