npi cars are the 96-98 gts and the 99-04 are pi. the pi motors have better head, cams, and intake that flow better than the restrictive npis. you can do a pi swap and gain some good hp. this raises you c/r from 9:3 to i believe 10:5.

u can get it done for under a grand if u do the work urself and get used parts.

U can also keep ur compression the same if u only swap the intake and cams, like i did. U only gain +5 hp from the heads, the big jump is with the intake and cams. I did this even cheaper, about 600 in parts, and i changed things i didn't even need to change, just cause i was there.

Being PI is the way to be with a 96-98, otherwise ur gonna have one hell of a time trying to break 300hp

with out a nitrous kit, or a blower you wont get a NPI car in the 300s.

ur rights.........

as long as the npi manifold is on the car, it doesn't matter if u do head/cams annnnnd stroke the motor......

thats why PI is the way to be for us....even if u only go 2/3rd of the way

if i werent going to spray my car, i would be doing a heavily modififed NPI head, with aftermarket cams and the SVO intake. Or a full SVO set up.

P.I (performance improved) NPI (non PI). The npi heads are not as bad as some make them out to be, depending on what you want to do.

X2 do a port job on the npi heads and and cams you can get a good amount of hp on a npi motor.

but you can get more if you get a set of good hogged out pi heads with valves and springs.
