im intrested in doing it does anyone have experience? an or tips?? worth it to buy kit or buy seperate materials?

I have done a few delete kits.

they are fairly easy to make as well.

than again the kit's are pretty inexpensive

hey HMUSN, how did you make yours? Ive been wanting to do this for a while, but dont even know where to start on the fabric, i may even just sand and paint the wood, but i dont want it to be too obnocious!

obnoxious lol i was thinking of painting it to..i have black interior so like a flat black with no gloss? how bad could that look?

You can buy small rolls of automotive carpet at most parts stores for around $10. Or either use the speaker box carpet. I think just Paint would look crappy and cheap unless it were fiberglass and painted the color of your car with a good clear coat.

RSD is so easy to make there is no need to buy one. You can find auto carpet just about anywhere. I used 1/2" ply and some black carpet took all of 45 min to make.

3/8 plywood and auto carpet. it's rather easy.

I sold it to mustang1072 on here.

Had anyone done one that gets rid of the top part above the cushion of the seat. I don't know if that would be really hard. I already have decent cabin noise in my car and I would like to cutt it down if I can help it. So, with the plywood and carpet route, how much noise did that add from the back?
