Discussing Putting A PI Motor In My 98 in the 96-98 Forum. i was thinking i should just throw a low milege pi motor in my 98 ...

Putting A PI Motor In My 98


i was thinking i should just throw a low milege pi motor in my 98 instead of putting pi top end on the car has 98000 miles on it will the pi motor bolt up the same

do it and then spray the crap out of it. you will run mid 12 on a good tune

thats originally what i was going to do... the motor should run u about $1100 to $1500. but i decided to put a mach 1 motor in mine... found one for $2800 the PI motor install will cost around $1200, but the mach 1 will cost me $1900 everything should bolt up... but u may want to look at getting a new tranny since u have alot of miles on there if u plan on doing alot to the car...

ok so buy the motor and drop it in same ecu same tranny nothin has to be changed

2V NOT A 4V TO CHANGE TO A 4V YOU WILL NEED THE COMPUTER TO RUN IT!

well u may not need a ecu seeing that if someone programs a sct chip for your car they can tell your old pcm what to do and whats in your car for motor, transmission the whole 9 if im not mistakin please correct me if i'm wrong

That is correct, or he could go with a handheld programmer.

98k is NOT lot of miles on these cars when they are maintained properly. Regular maintenance etc.

+1, guys have had 300k+ miles on these motors without issues. why do people insist that 98k, 100k, 120k, etc is such high mileage. they are just barely breaking it in
