Car Is Acting Like Crap?


hey ive been trying to figure out what is wrong with my car for a while now, its kinda hard to explain so, it accelerates fine up to 1/4 throttle and anything after that there is no power and it like bucks pretty bad and now its getting worse.
can anybody help me, or give me any suggestions what the hell is wrong with my car????

Do any thing to motor lately? Wash, etc.

mine kinda did that too, i had to replace the spark plugs and wires...its was misfireing alot....and that did the trick no more bucking, holding back nothing

Might have to do that, cuz when I press the throttle down maybe 1/4 and hold it there while in O/D it starts to buck, like misfires.

well hey if that doesnt do it then you may need to get new coil packs also. that is what some one told me to do first but i just tried the wires and that fixed it. tell me how it goes

I had problems like that everytime I washed my engine. (Had factory plug wires) I would have to pull each boot off and wipe it off and that would do the trick. It was wierd though because is only was a small amount of moisture.
Any ways good luck!

imrc module


what is an imrc module were is it located and what duty does it perform exactly I have never heard of that term imrc

The IMRC's are located in your lower intake manifold

IMRC = Intake Manifold Runner Control

They are basically butterfly valves in certian manifolds, I mostly know about the V6 models that have them, but certian cobra's and the new 3v 4.6's have them aswell. at low rpms these valves are closed so that the engine draws air primarily through the long runners, which increases low-end torque. at high rpms the valves open to allow airflow through both the short and long runners...

replaced coil packs,plugs,and wires and developed backfiring at 5k.
