Well Guys I Finally Decided What To Do With My 96

i have decided to put a 04 mach 1 engine in it and a new transmission... found a mach 1 engine for 2800 and i am getting it installed for 1900...it comes with the shaker hood so i will have them cut a hole in my stock hood and get the chin spoiler and eventually get it painted with the mach 1 blue and striping... so i will put pics up as soon as i get it back... i will be putting it in the shop with in the next week to 2 weeks

For that kinda money you could build a forged bottom end with more power than a Mach and not have to worry about all the other issues.

I definitely will... cant wait. HP-performance.com is the shop that is doing it. they are located in jacksonville, FL the total will end up being about 10 grand, so not too cheap but its what i want to do. well i take it to the shop next week on tuesday... said the earliest to get done is 1 week latest 3 weeks... it will be getting dyno'ed so i will know what i got under the hood

Nice Idea, but nes is right. The price is a little high. Bring it over to my buddy Jacob's shop, and I'll take the engine and stick in for free. Sure there is three states between us.

1900 for motor swap, dyno tune, and tuner?? i guess that isnt too bad, figure you will spend roughly 800 on tuning stuff (400 on tuner, 400 on dyno time) thats only 1100 for the swap, not too bad when you look at it.

but around here motor swaps are about 600

well the price for the sohc pi motor was 1100 including dyno and tune but this takes a little extra for setting the engine in there, forgot what they said was different from our engine bay but they have to fabricate something for it
