Code P1443 Evaporative Emmision Control System Control Valve


this code keeps coming on if anyone knows what this valve looks like of where its located please reply and does this have anything to do with the idle of the vehicle

99, thats a v6 ?

Anywhoo... youre code is for that EVAP purge solinoid. replace that and check the hoses. In that pic, its the thing near the intake manifold.

purge solenoid


hey thanks for the help guys that did the trick what happened was the vac line was old and breacking apart and some debree got into the solenoid cleaned it out and put new vac lines did the trick thankss

Hey casper are familiar with code 1506 idle overspeed error on a 96 gt non pi,, if u have whats the most common issue

hey man..... that code can mean alot actually.

Most times its the bad IAC.... can be cracked hoses, broken pcv hoses, carbon'd throttle body, kinked linkage, throttle body gaskets, air filters clogged, FRAM or other after market filters that allow air to leak by or to not get by, Youre evap system could be faulty..... So just check all the basics first. Make sure you have power and grounds to the IAc as well.

my car is running bad, I replaced my plugs, MAF, TPS, cleaned my IAC, new PCV, New o2 sensors, could my EVAP be bad? or what could it be? it idles bad, and shakes threw throttle response??

Coil packs ? alot of people replace MAF, plugs and wires and think it should be gone. They forget the coil packs. I just did them all at once with a kit. Great performance gains as well.

Not saying thats exactly youre problem... but its a far better answer then the EVAP thinking youre going with.

Any CEL ?
