if you get an intake and a throttle body and a upper plenum then you get you heads have them milled ported and polished and cams and a maf sensor with little bigger injectors that should get you over 300 hp.

the stock mustang gt compression is 9 2 1 and if you get the heads milled you can get 10 2 1 compression without hitting a valve.

A MAF and injectors will not help you with HP at all. If you "mill" these heads too much, you are going to hae problems with the intake sealing. You can't mill these intakes to make them line up due to their orientation to the head.

Another important thing when milling is timing, you MUST degree all camshafts. Milling the heads even .010" will alter the cam timing.

find a set of used pi heads and send them to boomer and let him pick the cams and you should be about 270 at the wheels... then full exhuast including lt's. ported intake and all... you could spend about 1500 on the heads thats including the cams and all valve work and what not... then maybe 100 on the intake and having it ported. 1000 for headers and exhaust.. so you lookin at 2600 or really close to it to be at 300 rwhp n/a wit a 97 gt without the juice! then you could do some more relatively cheap bolt ons like jlt cai, 75mm tb and plenum, underdrive pulleys and a tune and you would be pretty close to 320-330 at the wheels.

look at my mods at the bottem i already have some of that stuff i dont think that a throttle body and plenum is going to add more than about 5 hp to the wheels and thats not really worth it for about what 200 or so bucks

yes... such as worked heads and cams... you will net more power with the tb and plenum over stock heads and cams.

Your car was the first one that crossed my mind when I read that....

I read what people actually believe and laugh. I used to outrun cars that had upwards of 300 rwhp on what my first N/A modular had. In a perfect world everyone would start building a car from the ground up rather than front to back. I would take a mid 12 second N/a car over a 13 second boosted car anyday

Those little things like a plenum and TB can make a 20 hp differance if your heads, cams, intake are in order. Its all about efficiency, and having vacum created by not having a 75mm TB for your P&P heads and custom cam is just stupid. Its a $150 item from summit, and a well prepared long block, it will make you 10-15rwhp. So how is that not worth it. Any change I can FEEL is worth it.
