Does anybody have tips on doing a Heater core on a 97 GT. I really dont want to spend another 700 dollars for installation on a 20 dollar part.

You dont HAVE to evacuate the A/C system I didnt. Disconnect the battery and allow the car to sit for a couple minutes BEFORE you do anything else, otherwise your could set off your airbags.

I removed the dash and used a Dremel to cut the front half of the access panel off with a nice straight line. I used masking tape, a square and a marker to make the line and cut.

I was able to pull the core out without touching any of the plumbing under the hood (except heater hoses obviously). Then I used the orange RTV to seal the panel back. That will save you a lot of time and money.

I took the dash out by myself. Your gonna need to people to put it back. Make sure you wheels are line straigh and mark the relationship between t he steering shaft from the dash to the one coming outta the floor board. And dont let your steering wheel spin all over the place or else you can damage your clock spring.
